Moving right along

Goodbyes are hard...

Hey all! It's been a while. Meg's and my lives have been pretty crazy lately (Meg moved into OBU this past weekend and I leave to head back to Tulsa tomorrow- need to pack!) but we'll hopefully have a more set schedule soon. Just give us some time to get our sea legs and figure this whole "blogging" thing out.

In the meantime, I'd figure that I could share some links I'm loving right now, especially as I'm prepping to return back to school:

• This article from Sophia McDougall, "I hate Strong Female Characters", offers a really compelling view of how women are frequently represented (or misrepresented) in modern media. It's definitely a great foundation for some good discussions about gender and film!
• I'm waiting for these glasses from Warby Parker to come in some time this week and I am so excited! If you're in the market for a new pair of eye glasses, I definitely recommend going through this company-- their mission is incredible and their customer service is beyond compare!
• I definitely plan on making this one pot pasta from Martha Stewart once I have the chance to visit the Cherry Street Farmers' Market! It looks absolutely delicious.
• I can see myself rocking this four-strand braid hairstyle this fall as I make my way to classes.
• Have I mentioned my obsession with TU's new dog ambassador, Goldie? The rest of Tulsa has fallen for her too-- here's a continuing coverage page with everything you ever wanted to know about this adorable pooch.

I hope all my friends still in school are getting back into the swing off things! I can't wait to see what this school year has in store!
